About Rooted Worship and Dave Hook

What a privilege to join one of the most exciting times in history when it comes to Christian worship. I believe the church is longing for a return to content over form, and simplicity over style-to encounter the presence of the Spirit of Christ in a real and transformative way.

After 45 years of worship leadership, I feel the Lord is saying it's time to pursue two new objectives; help the Body of Christ reignite a passion for true worship; and to teach the next generation of lead worshippers, artists and psalmists about biblically faithful, historically informed worship unto God so that they remain rooted and and grounded in the love of Christ, and as a result, lead other out of the overflow of their union with Him.
In order to begin this new journey, I felt the need to create a resource that distills and summarizes what matters most what God's people gather to worship Him - that's why Rooted Worship was formed.

Rooted Worship includes 12 vital "roots" designed to help worship leaders and ministries grow in depth, renewal, and engagement, regardless of the church's worship style, philosophy, or size.
These roots are derived from scripture and church history and brought to life through my journey and studies in worship leadership'
