This video introduces the concepts of “drinking in” and inviting the Holy Spirit’s active presence and power into our lives and ministries. It’s easy to consider this as just just another one of those peculiar, vague concepts-one of those things some write off with a nod and say, “Well, we don’t really talk about that too much-let’s not overdo it.” But the Bible is clear, we can’t lead effectively without the filling, enablement, and leadership of the Holy Spirit. The real challenge is figuring out how to incorporate this practice into our everyday routine. It’s much more than daily Bible study/meditation and prayer (but it’s no less); we must check in with ourselves regularly—”read the fuel gauge.” We need to set aside margins of time and breathing room; to look intently into our own hearts and and revist our stories, so we can discover what foster the life of His Spirit and what drains us and works in oppostion to Him. Remember, we lead from the overflow of our “inner reservoir,” and that includes paying attention to and making significant adjustments that redirect and have an effect on our entire being—mind, body, relationships, and emotions. What are you doing to stay filled, renewed and empowered to do the work the Lord has entrusted you with?
